• Eliminate mosquito breeding grounds, like puddles and stagnant pools of water
  
• Empty water collecting in buckets, tarps, tires or other containers
  
• Clean water troughs weekly
  
• Screen stable windows
  
• Keep horses inside at dawn and dusk, when mosquitoes are most active
  
• Turn off lights that attract mosquitoes
  
• Use a repellent barrier treatment around your barn
  
• Ask your vet about vaccines available for mosquito-borne diseases
